Root21 is a hi-tech business accelerator that works with early stage and scale-up technology companies to create rapid growth and commercial success. Root21 provides its members with continuity of support from concept to Series A and beyond with one team, one continuous programme. It has provided training and support programmes to a number of companies many of which have gone on to raise significant funding and achieve commercial success.
A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led and funded body formed to improve a defined commercial area. The BID for Basingstoke is known as Basingstoke Together and is based in offices in Festival Place. It works to promote the town centre via a number of ways including organising events to encourage people into the town and use social media and a website to promote local businesses.
It also offers a number of opportunities to help develop BID businesses such as providing training, social media support and through the Basingstoke rewards loyalty card.

Enterprise M3 (Local Enterprise Partnership)
Enterprise M3 is a business-led Local Enterprise Partnership based on Basing View. It is one of 39 in England, which is working to secure economic growth at sub-national level.
The Enterprise M3 area stretches from the edge of London to Whiteley covering mid to north Hampshire and South West Surrey. Enterprise M3 brings together business leaders from 14 district authorities across two counties and has four major interconnected urban centres known as ‘Growth’ towns: Woking, Guildford, Farnborough and Basingstoke.
It brings together leaders from the business, public and not-for-profit sectors and provides the vision, knowledge and strategic leadership needed to drive sustainable private sector growth.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, many local business and colleges play an active role in Enterprise M3 to secure funding to support economic growth in the area. This is done through the 'Growth Deal' with government.
Borough Business Partnership
The Borough Business Partnership (BBP) gives the borough’s business community a voice and opportunity to participate in the issues that affect the borough.
The morning meetings are held three times a year, with the agenda focusing on key local and regional projects and programmes that are of genuine interest to businesses including presentations from local businesses, business support organisations and other key partners that influence the businesses in the borough.
The group is made up of key businesses, large and small employers, business support organisations and people from the business community with a genuine interest in what direction the council should be heading, which provides a unique informal networking opportunity over breakfast. Hampshire Chamber of Commerce
Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is owned and led by its membership comprising of local business organisations of all sectors and sizes. It holds over 100 events a year including an annual conference to give members the opportunities to learn, meet new contacts and promote their business. It has a number of area policy committees including one in Basingstoke; as well as specific committees dealing with planning and transport; and professional services.
It also has a range of services to help with health and safety, legal issues, human resources and tax. Access is unlimited and free for members. Suitable for businesses of all sizes the helplines are there to help you make the right decision for your business and download relevant documents to save time and money.

The Basingstoke Voluntary Action Volunteer Centre advertises a variety of locally-based volunteering opportunities.
